Today’s article is about chia seeds in coffee.
The reason why I chose this article topic for today is because I had a casual conversation with a friend of mine this morning and she was asking me what I am up to. I told her that I am starting a blog about chia seeds.
She then told me that she had a breakfast with chia seed and a coffee in Starbucks the last week. She really has no idea what chia seed is so I then started explaining it to her the benefits of chia to our system.
But to be honest, I really did not know that Starbucks is already adding it to one of their line of products because I don’t go anymore to Starbucks these days.
Nevertheless, I am really amazed because even big companies are now incorporating chia seeds in their products.
It is only a reaffirmation to myself that what I am doing right now, creating this blog that is talking about chia seeds, is truly worthwhile and simply amazing 🙂
By the way, I do some research on the web about the Starbucks adding chia seeds in oats with a cofee, and here’s what I got
Chances are, you have your go-to a.m. Starbucks order down. Maybe you’re a venti coffee and oatmeal (with all the toppings) kind of girl. Or you might be more of a grande almond milk latte with a spinach feta wrap type of person. Well, if there’s ever a time to think about switching things up, it’s now.
The coffee mega-chain has been revamping its menu quite a bit lately, first adding egg bites and a new latte to the menu. And now the breakfast menu is growing again—with what just might be Starbucks’ healthiest offering ever. Starting today, Starbucks is now selling vegan overnight grains. This is not a drill.
The blend of steel oats, quinoa, and chia seeds is soaked in coconut milk and topped off with shaved coconut and sliced almonds. And as you would expect with a supergrain, this breakfast comes with a good amount of protein: 6 grams per serving. Actually, the whole idea for adding a new protein-rich item to the menu came from the fact that Starbucks’ protein bistro box is currently the best-selling lunch option. The chain recognized that its customers wanted more protein options and crafted this tropical, hearty dish. via: aol
